BRACCIODIFERRO was founded in Genoa in the early 1970s by Aldo Cichero and Cesare Cassina with the aim of bringing innovation to the design sector.
It was an extremely successful experiment and gave life to important projects, still recognized today as iconic pieces and as witnesses of an era which marked the history of Radical Design.
Designers such as Gaetano Pesce and Alessandro Mendini were the major designers of this “timeless” project.
Their style is highly conceptual and complex, while always intended as an instrument for creativity and an alternative to the current system. The project consists in creating unique and limited edition pieces in order to counter the traditional mass production system and generate a possible change in the demands of the market.
